Your Outpatient Appointment

It is important that you are aware of all charges before undergoing any treatment or tests.

You are not obliged to accept any treatment or advice and can decline it at any time.

Consultant Fees

Your Consultant will contact you directly regarding their initial consultation fee for your appointment, along with details of any follow-up consultation fees.

They will invoice you or your insurance company directly for the consultation, along with their additional charges for any specific treatment or procedures.

Hospital Fees

In addition to your Consultant’s fees, New Victoria Hospital also charges a service fee for any procedures and tests.

Should you require any tests such as bloods or imaging (for example an X-ray, MRI or CT scan), prices for these will be provided separately.

The Hospital's Self Pay procedure charges are in addition to any fees charged by the Consultant unless indicated otherwise.

Outpatient Histology: £250 (prices may exceed this where additional tests and second opinions are required).

Imaging Histology: fees vary from £100-£800.

One-Stop Breast Clinic: prices are inclusive of Consultant procedural fees.

Prices are subject to change. Terms and conditions apply.

Insurer's prices will differ from the Hospital’s Self Pay charges and can vary significantly.

*No charge where following a post-operative admission.

Payment

Self Pay Patients

If you are paying for your own treatment, the Hospital’s fees are payable on the day of your appointment.

All major credit and debit cards are accepted (excluding Amex).

Cardiology procedures requiring reporting will not be charged on the day. Payment will be due on invoice.

Insured Patients

Your policy number and pre-authorisation code will be required at the time of booking.

Without this information you will be charged the Hospital’s Self Pay fee for any procedures or test, payable on the day.

You would need to reclaim these through your insurer, retrospectively.

Please note, there are a small number of outpatient procedures that are not typically covered by private medical insurance, and insured patients will, therefore, be charged for these by the Hospital at the Self Pay rate.

We recommend that you contact your insurer to check the terms of your policy, particularly the level and type of outpatient cover you have. You will be liable for all fees incurred during your visit.

Insurer’s fees vary by provider and can differ significantly from the Hospital’s Self Pay prices. You may wish to check with your

insurance company regarding their prices before proceeding with any tests.

Self Pay prices for imaging, physiotherapy, vaccinations and surgery are available from the relevant department:

Credit / Debit Card Pre-authorisation

Please be advised that all patients attending the Hospital for an Outpatient appointment are required to bring a valid Debit Card or Credit Card for swiping. Please visit our Credit / Debit Card Requirement FAQs page for further information.
