We are looking for a Patient Services Advisor to join our Ward team, to do ad-hoc shifts on our Bank. 

The role will be based on the Ward and will involve providing effective and efficient administrative support, dealing with patients and visitors promptly and courteously, paying particular attention to the principles of customer care in order to provide a service of the highest standard.

You'll be part of a team that provides exceptional care to all patients at the Hospital, working collaboratively to meet their needs, in line with Hospital policy and procedure.

Some of the duties of the role include:

  • welcoming patients and relatives to the Ward/Day Unit and orientating them as required
  • effectively handling administrative duties such as patient admission, transfer and discharge
  • maintaining patient medical records in an orderly fashion and in line with Medical Records Policy
  • always ensuring a sensitive and confidential approach to all duties associated with patient care

 

 

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE level in English and maths

Knowledge

  • Computer literate

Experience

  • Ability to integrate well as part of a team
  • Prior customer facing role
  • Previous experience in healthcare; desirable
  • Prior experience of using Meditechdesirable

Skills

  • Exceptional communication skills with an excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Good organisational skills
  • Able to deal with highly confidential information
