Biography
Mr Ritesh Sharma is a Consultant Orthopaedic Hand and Wrist Surgeon at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust where he is also Clinical Lead of the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department.
Mr Sharma graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine, London in 2000.He completed his basic surgical training rotation at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS trust where he was awarded the Mckee Orthopaedic research prize. He completed his Trauma and Orthopaedic specialist registrar training on the London Southwest Thames rotation.
During specialist registrar training in trauma and orthopaedics, Ritesh completed a postgraduate MSc degree in Orthopaedic Engineering at Cardiff University and he has produced several publications and international presentations.
Mr Sharma has completed two specialist fellowships in hand and wrist surgery, one fellowship at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and then the hand surgery and reconstructive microsurgery fellowship at Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, India.
In his NHS consultant practice at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS trust following recommendation by members of the public, Ritesh was awarded three gold patient care awards for consistent delivery of excellent patient care.
