Dr Firoozi graduated from Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital medical school in 1995 with multiple first class honours. His post graduate medical and cardiology training involved posts at Hammersmith, Royal Brompton, Guy's, St Thomas' and St George's Hospitals.

He passed his MRCP examinations in 1998 and in 1999 was awarded a British Heart Foundation Fellowship and undertook clinical research looking into heart muscle disorders and sports cardiology. He then undertook specialist cardiology training and a subspecialty interventional cardiology fellowship at St George’s Hospital from 2002 to 2008.

He is accredited as a specialist in the UK in both Cardiology and General Internal Medicine.

Dr Firoozi is actively involved in postgraduate and undergraduate medical education and runs medical education courses. He is also involved in the organisation of training for cardiology and angioplasty in the London area.
