What does the Community Champion Fund cover?
The Community Fund will cover medical expenses for selected applicants who need healthcare services provided by New Victoria Hospital that include:
- Consultations
- Diagnostic examinations
- Treatment and outpatient procedures
- Surgery
That can help improve their quality of life.
Please, note that the Fund only covers the services offered by New Victoria Hospital.

Who can apply?
We encourage all people who are suffering with symptoms, would like a second opinion, need medical or surgical treatment or are struggling to access the support they need, to apply to receive free medical care.
We will consider applications from Kingston upon Thames, Surrey and across the UK.
You can also apply on behalf of a family member or a friend with their consent.
The selection process
Applications will be evaluated from a clinical and ethical perspective by an appointed selection committee made up of local community ambassadors, hospital board directors and the trustees of The Victoria Foundation.
To be considered for the Community Champion Fund, applications had to be submitted by the 2nd of October 2023. Applications are now closed.
Selected applicants will be contacted by the 23rd of October 2023.
Early applications are strongly recommended, especially for urgent cases.
