Here at New Victoria Hospital, we are looking for a Medical Records Officer to effectively manage the Medical Records process ensuring a current and accurate organisational database is maintained, whilst adhering to legislative requirements.

This roles requires you to take part in overseeing the accurate storage, handling, archiving and destruction of Medical Records, ensuring records are managed and stored securely.   In addition to responding to Subject Access Requests for Medical Records in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2018.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, enthusiastic, positive, highly motivated and able to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and detail with their work.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Good level of secondary education.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • IT literacy skills
  • Intermediate Excel (desirable)
  • Meditech or equivalent (desirable)

Experience:

  • Administrative skills and competences in a hospital or GP surgery

Skills and aptitude:

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Literate and numerate
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Good interpersonal skills, for effective working relationships throughout the Hospital
  • Accuracy
